Make my copy

How it works

  1. Join the beta

Email us the address you'll write from. We'll add free forms to it.

  2. Email your request

Describe the questions in your own words. Lists, half-sentences and typos are fine.

  3. We build and check it

Our AI drafts the form, checks it against your request point by point and fixes what's off. Anything unusual goes to a person first. Usually within minutes.

  4. Copy and publish

Click "Make my copy". The form is yours, in your own Google account. Want changes? Just reply.

Questions

How do I use the form you send?
Open the link while signed in to the Google account we shared it with and click "Make a copy". The copy is yours: edit anything, check Settings, then click Publish to start collecting responses.
The link says I need access.
The link works only for the Google account we shared it with. Switch to that account (top right in Google) and open the link again.
How do I ask for changes?
Each form gets 3 rounds of changes, free. Every form we send has its own form ID (like F-7K3Q9): reply with the ID and say clearly what to change, for example "Form F-7K3Q9: please make the phone number optional and remove the last question." You can change any form you've received, not only the latest, and every version we send is yours to keep. If the changes would make a completely different form, we ask first whether to make it as a new form (1 credit); reply YES or NO, and if you don't reply, nothing is charged. Asking for "a new form" or "another form" counts as a new form, even in the same thread.
Do I need an account or a password?
No. Everything happens by email: your request, your form, your changes, and your questions. Ask "how many credits do I have?" any time and we'll reply with the number.
Can I ask a question instead?
Yes. Reply to any of our emails, or write to the same address. A person answers questions in the same thread.
Can you see the responses to my form?
No. Responses go only to your copy, in your Google account. We never see or store them.
What can't you build?
Anything Google Forms can't do, and forms that ask for passwords or that pretend to be another company. A few question types (like file uploads) have to be added by hand in your copy; we'll tell you when.
What if I run out of forms?
During the beta, just ask us for more. After the beta, we'll reply with a link to buy more, and your request starts by itself once the payment goes through (we keep it for 7 days).

What you're paying for

  • Google Forms is free. You pay Formly for the convenience of having your form drafted for you from your own words, not for access to Google Forms.
  • We make a draft from your instructions. Once you copy it into your Google account, it's yours: edit it, share it, use it or delete it whenever you like, without us.
  • We keep our own copy for up to 90 days for records and support, then delete it automatically. That never affects your copy.
  • Formly is an independent service, not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

Before you share a form

  • Your form is public: anyone with its link can see every question. Keep private information out of it.
  • Don't collect passwords, card or bank numbers, government ID numbers, or health details unless you're sure you're allowed to and can protect them.
  • Tell people who is collecting their answers, why, and for how long. Collect only what you need.
  • Check Settings before publishing: who can respond, whether emails are collected, and that people can't see each other's answers.
